Transportation
Our interconnected region depends on transportation to connect us all.
Residents deserve to have accessible travel options, and here in Fairfax County, we have everything from roadways, sidewalks, and Metro to buses and bicycles. The Dranesville District is home to various bus lines and the West Falls Church, Herndon and Innovation Station Metro stops. Jimmy is in support of expanded bicycle lanes, sidewalk development and the implementation of policies that increase public transportation usage. As we head to a greener future, Jimmy supports access to infrastructure for the transition to electric vehicles.
Transportation infrastructure plays a long term role in our district’s development. Jimmy will promote initiatives that make our roads safer and less congested so commuters can spend less time on the road.
To promote transportation safety, Jimmy will be a voice to reduce speeding in residential neighborhoods, improve intersection movement, and improve our roadways. As a Supervisor, he is prepared to work with partners such as environmental groups, citizens associations, and transportation departments to ensure that road and infrastructure projects are funded and completed successfully – and on time. Jimmy will work to ensure that residents have a seat at the table on major transportation initiatives and push for traffic studies that consider necessary road improvements.
